What “True to Life” Means to me:

  • IN THE MOMENTS: While I love candids, I also love making sure you’re comfortable in front of the camera! I do this by creating moments for you to be candid in, rather than leaving you to come up with it all. Most people are a little camera shy once they’re face to face with the lens, and it’s hard to be candidly cute when you’re worried about where to put your hands. I won’t leave you hanging!

  • IN THE ENVIRONMENT: I evaluate each moment based on the light and the environment- maybe we’re on top of a mountain, or next to a lake, or in your backyard! I take it all into account as I’m capturing scenes from your wedding day.

  • IN THE REALITY OF IT: Growing up in New England, you learn to always keep an umbrella and sunscreen in your car. Adaptability is essential. Your wedding day is unique, and I’m always going to show up prepared for whatever the day has! My job isn’t just to show up and be a fly on the wall. We’ll go over timelines, photo lists, weather plans, and all of the important details so that having incredible wedding photos is the last thing you’ll worry about !

  • IN THE EDITING PROCESS: When you look at your photos, I want you to go right back to that moment - I use true to life colors and don’t over process my work because I don’t want to evoke a mood or a tone that’s not there. So often the natural environment speaks for itself, and editing with true and vibrant colors only enhances that effect.
